Knot in your hair? Don't dispair..

Don't let happen to you what happened to a young girl that came to us crying.  

Julia had a knot in her hair and went to another salon.

Her family sought out help from another salon and the help the salon gave her was cutting her hair all off. 

In my 19 years of service, I have never come accross such and extremely short and uneven haircut as was provided to Julia.  She is only 13.  Some of the front was left a little bit long but there is an area in her bang area that is close to being shorn and none of the layers were blended smoothly.

10 years of my career were spent educating haircolor and assisting on haircutting education programs. 

What can or could of been done  instead in this  extreme case? 

The knot can be worked on for some time to get it out.

In the case that the knot would actually have to be cut out to release it then just that area need to be that short.    The rest of the surrounding area can be extended with Great Lengths hair extensions to cover the area that is so short.

Instead Julia  has wait for her natural hair to be long enough before I can extend it.   Don't let this happen to you.

It's because I am proud to be a Great Lengths Hair extensionist and salon.

My mission for 2012 is to save anyone from the agony of being the one who got one.

For a few years now I have fixed haircut mishaps and wiped a few tears.

Before sitting in a new stylist chair based on price alone.....ask to see pictures of there work.

Be wary if there's not enough time for a consult.

The young girl I fixed this week said she was never shown magazine pictures, was hardly consulted with and told ....'I have a lot of experience and you are going to like what I do...'

If you are good....you don't have to say it.

There's no reason to suffer, cry and experience another bad hair day if you have experienced being at the mercy of a stylist that doesn't know when to put their scissors down.
